Short for Non-Player Character, NPCs are those characters not played by a specific player, but anybody can used them in their plots when posting in the game. For instance, You might be interested in playing a family, but you don't want to play all the members of it. You can play only one of the members (for instance the father) as a PC, and put the other characters in this NPCs section, in that way you'll be able to use them if you want -or anybody else will-, but you won't have to play them.

Also, NPCs are up for adoption, so another player can play them as PCs. If this happens, they'll be moved to the Player Characters section. Pay attention to which NPCs are up for adoption. Some of them don't live in PP so generally those are not up for adoption. Would you really want one of them contact the moderators and we'll see what we can do.

If you want, you can also ask the mods to put the NPCs you create up for adoption.
