Personality

Nathan is a very serious and driven individual. With his single-mindedness, he is able to stay focused on a task and it would be almost impossible to distract him. It manifests as a strength in his career  and in achieving the material success he has in life. However, it can sometimes be his weakness as he tends to neglect those whom he cares about. In public, he is always poised and keeps his emotions in check, maintaining an aloof veneer that is unflappable and impossible to rattle. Because of his calmness, people have a tendency to see him as arrogant, if not downright unfeeling and uncaring.

His conservative upbringing is responsible for his world being very black and white with no room for any gray areas. He holds strongly to his integrity, beliefs and principles and will not break them for anyone or anything. He is also devoutly spiritual. Because of this, he knows humility and struggles to balance his own ambitions with that of the needs of those he loves in his life. He can be stubborn and unmovable in his positions on issues but can be turned around if given a good argument and some time and space to think things over.

Being a very confident man, many people are drawn towards him. However, his no nonsense attitude towards things, and an overly objective approach usually drives them away. He is very competitive but knows how to pick and choose his challenges or fights.

Personal History

Nathan was the second child born to George and Martha Covington. His father focused all his attention on his son. Nathan was reared as a man, his father saw to that. His father demanded a son who excelled in both academics and sports and Nathan delivered. He carried a 4.0 grade average in high school and naturally was the quarterback of the football team. The teams he played with in high school improved all the years he played, winning the state championship his senior year. His father's financial support in building a team around his son didn't hurt either. His academic scores made his opportunities endless.

He enrolled at Columbia University majoring in architecture. His first year away from home and dad proved hard for Nathan. His father came up at the end of the first semester and delivered a stern yet paternal lecture to his son. Nathan's grades improved there after. It was during this time that Nathan really became his own man. He graduated in the top twenty of his class, a fact that forced him to some humility in his life.

Offers poured in from all over the country. At his father's urging he took a job in Los Angeles at one of the largest architectural firms in California. He spent five years there learning more in five years than he could have anywhere else in twenty. His longing for home finally brought him back to Pleasant Port, much to his mother's and father's delight. With money he inheirited from his grandfather, he opened 3D Architects. He has since spent a majority of his time building his fledgling company
