She was born to her mother (A korean woman) and her father (an american soldier) To this day she doesn't know who they are.
Had an accident in the sanctuary of the perish. She had problems with getting into things. Things were never very easy, and she often fought with the men who raised her, asking them questions they couldn't answer. Questions about her parents. When they couldn't answer her, this just made her more angry.

Tried leaving the perish, escaping in the middle of the night in hopes to find her parents. It didn't work however and instead of finding her parents, she found a town where she hid for about a week. After the monks found her they tried to explain to her what had happened, and why she was there, but she just couldn't understand why her parents didn't love her enough. There were many nights after that where she just cried herself to sleep
The perish thought it would be better if she had a better life, and talked amongst eachother, raising the money and then moved her to Ada, Ohio, recieving the last name, "Yumiko." by the state.
After wo years of being in the system, Misha had been abused in every way possible and thus retreated for the streets. She always concidered them to be safer than the places she had stayed. Better to be cold and stay under a bridge than be in a home, wondering when someone will come in and hurt you.
Met a girl named Rocky, a 17 year old girl from Chicago in the slums of Patterson. They quickly became friends and relyed on eachother for everything. This was Mishas first friendship/relationship with a girl and the only one.
Rocky leaves Misha to go get food for them and never returns. She waited for her all day and then heard by word of mouth about a shooting that had happened off one of the main strips. After going to the scene of the crime, she found out that it had been Rocky who had been shot.Though Misha never saw the body, the cops had made it very clear she had been shot to death. To this day Misha blames herself for what happened, telling herself that it should have been her there and not Rocky. At least Rocky had parents and had hopes in some day of returning to them.
Turning 15, Misha had saved enough money up by selling herself for money and tealing that she hitch-hiked to Chicago.

While living in Chicago, she realized that being there wasn't any better than being in Ohio, although she felt better and knew that in some weird way she was closer to her friend that way. She got into hacking, by going in the library and researching. As well as getting tips from people on the streets.
Got into drug dealing for money. Though she never used them, she was with a lot of people who did, and ended up in juvenal hall for a week before escaping with two other people.
She found an apartment complex and ended up running into the manager. He was pruning trees at the time, and she talked him into letting her live with him.....for a price. While staying with them, he taught her to play the piano. She told him she had to get something out of it besides just getting a roof over her head.
Found a job, but the living situation with her lover had gotten very abusive, so she hitch-hiked again to Rhode Island, Maine. It was the worst Christmas of her life.
Finally Arriving in Maine in early January, misha instantly started looking for work. She had no idea who would hire her, but she new if she didn't do something, she would end up having to move again and that wasn't something she wanted to have to do again. She got a job at a shabby restaurant called 'The Blue Heron.' The man who owned it felt bad for her, and allowed her to sleep in the back kitchen instead of allowing her to sleep on the streets. This was the first time Misha had felt like something was going right in her life. She made a few friends, but never really got too close.
