Late that night, he and Carol Gordon run into one another on the Boardwalk and get reacquainted. |
| Dec. 26th |
After the breakfast with Scott is cancelled, Cole visits Lauren at home. They make-out and he gives her oral sex. Later, he hangs out with Ethan. Hungry and out of beer, he goes to the Ocean View and finds Jackie distraught over Alex and Luke. While trying to console her, he kisses her in the heat of the moment. |
| Dec. 27th |
Cole and Scott have their rescheduled breakfast at the Pancake House. Later, he and Lauren's date goes extremely well...until he tells her about Jackie. Lauren tells him not to see her again, so Cole goes to Amy's to also inform her of the issue with Jackie. Amy is more forgiving, much to Cole's thanks. |
| Dec. 28th |
That morning, Cole runs into Jackie at the flower shop as he is attempting to send a make-up gift to Lauren. He tries to apologize, but winds up informing her that Alex probably knows (or soon will) about the kiss. He's certain afterwards that he's lost Jackie's friendship. That evening, Cole gives a ride home to Skye Johnson and meets her very strange "uncle" Gil Johnson. |

2008
| Jan. 1st |
Lauren spends the night over at Cole's house after a night of New Year's love-making. He finds a package that was left for him the day before containing a mysterious link to his past. Bren later phones during one of his PTSD events, prompting a visit. Later, he goes to see Amy who has been sick the last couple of days. |
| Jan. 2nd |
Cole gets stuck making a delivery to the theater, and runs into his ex-girlfriend Isabella. All it serves to accomplish is confuse him a little on his relationship with Lauren, as he's always seen Izzy's leaving him as punishment for his treatment of women over the years. |
| January |
The boat that Cole, Ethan, Fletcher, et. al, crew in the regatta finishes second. Ethan talks Cole into going skiing in Colorado a week later, but the trip is cut short when his friend takes a bad spill and breaks some ribs. So Cole is relegated to being his nurse for a while, until Ethan is up on his feet. Among visits by Ethan's family, Logan spends a week in PP. He gets to meet Lauren. |
| February |
Lauren takes Cole to meet her parents the first week of the month, which goes pretty well. As Valentine's Day nears, he gets a little more reclusive even though he tries to stay upbeat about the holiday. Instead, he winds up getting drunk the night before and disappears. Feb. 14th marks the tenth anniversary of his father's passing, and Cole takes it bad. Amy helps Lauren find him...passed out over his Dad's grave at the cemetery. Although Cole feels he didn't get everything out, he catches the flu for his trouble. A mysterious letter comes in the mail---postmarked Atlanta, GA with only a matchbook from a bar that Cole frequented when he lived in Pensacola. Too sick to care, he puts it with the other crap he's gotten. |
| March |
Ethan leaves for another tour of Afghanistan. Lauren becomes a more permenant fixture around the house as the two become closer---at least until Isabella calls him early in the month asking for help to build the sets for the March production (her carpenter quit). He reluctantly agrees, even though the favor puts the two of them together a lot. Not only is he now questioning his past relationship with Izzy and his present one with Lauren, but also his dealings with women in general. On top of this problem is his equally-confusing friendship with Bren. At his birthday party, a drunk Bren confesses to a drunk Cole that he believes the latter to be a terrorist and untrustworthy. Thinking he's being playful, Cole comes onto Bren in jest...but now he's worried Bren took him too seriously. To get his head clear, Cole takes Lauren for a week-long getaway to the Alleganies. |
| April |
A busy month for Cole. After planning Amy's successful birthday party, he flies her by helicopter to Boston to take her to see the Red Sox/Yankees play with some of her old friends from there. His Coast Guard unit is called up for a two-week stint of security duty at the Groton Submarine Yard soon after. He's promoted to chief petty officer and offered a full-time position at Station New Haven. Cole declines the position. He, Lauren, Isabel, Logan, and several friends attend the music festival. Amy informs him that she's entered the two of them and Ethan in a New England adventure race scheduled for the fall. Two more disconcerting messages---an e-mail at work and a picture of him torn into little pieces---now has Cole concerned that someone might be trying to stalk him. |
| May |
With a new season of softball looming nearer, Cole is gearing up for the start of practice. He gets the honor to take part in the opening ceremonies of NYC Fleet Week, but cuts it short to go get Ethan who is returning from deployment. |
| May 22nd |
Cole leaves NY to pick up Ethan at Westover AFB in Mass. Most of the day is spent filling in what had been happening the three months they were apart. After they get home and settled, he goes to see Lauren. On his way home late that night, he sees Musette Gowan being raped in Farmer's Park. Cole scares her attacker off and takes care of her until emergency services comes. The rest of the night and early morning are spent answering the police's questions. |
| May 23rd |
After spending part of the morning at the PD and the other half working, Cole goes home and does some yardwork. He returns Corey's call concerning Bren...hoping he helped the two of them maybe hit it off. He decides to stay at home since Lauren has to work and drinks beer on the beach. He recieves yet another taunting message in the mail from his "stalker". |
| May 24th |
Cole visits Amy after work at her home, where they finalize their travel plans---and strategy---concerning the family reunion in Vermont. He learns of the message form Bren, which makes him mad (but doesn't let Amy know) and some details of her date with Wes. Later he gets a call from Isabella, who's found his missing watch at the theater. He goes to reclaim it, but let's their history catch up with him. He manages to leave without any issue, but let's Izzy keep the watch. His Raiders beat the Hawks in the Road Hockey Tournament. |
| May 25th |
Cole calls Bren and confronts him about his behavior towards Amy. The two have an argument that ends with Bren hanging up. That afternoon, Cole goes to a softball league meeting in New Haven and while waiting to meet up with Lauren, he talks to Estela Russell (Logan's ex). She asks him to consider modeling for her store in the near future. |
