History
Geraldine Margaret to Paul and Mary O’Leary was born in 1980 and was raised in the predominantly Irish neighborhood of “Southie” in Boston Massachusetts. She was the fourth of the couple’s five children with three brothers ahead of her and a sister to follow four years later.
When Geri was growing up most of her family lived in the same apartment building. This made it difficult to sneak in and out as she wanted but it also re-enforced her devotion to her family as a unit. When Geri was fifteen she took a job looking after a neighbors mentally challenged daughter; a girl called Melody. Over the next five years Geri and Mel became very close. Geri still keeps in contact with her and she was a bridesmaid at Geri’s wedding.
Geri did well in school even though she struggled with some classes’; she graduated with a respectable B average and also participated in Advanced Placement history and English courses. She also was a member of the Community Service Club, the History Club, and the Students for Change Club.
She got along reasonably well with her parents. Of course there were a few issues when she was growing up. Nothing terribly extreme though, the worst Geri really ever did was sneak out to meet a boyfriend or friends. Like most of her friends, Geri smoked in high school and that was a major issue for her parents. She did quit though, when her beloved grandfather died of lung cancer.
Geri and her siblings fought all the time. It was hard though, with so many people in a small apartment, fighting was to be expected. The kids are all closer now that they are adults with separate lives. Geri is surprisingly the closest to her older brother Andrew, who is priest in Boston. Geri has not religious beliefs what so ever and Andrew is…a priest.
Geri, in an effort to save money, attended a community college for two years and earned her Associates Degree there. After that she transferred to Syracuse University to earn her degree in Special Education. Even though this was a private school, Geri could live with an aunt who lived near the school and therefore not have to pay room and board or have a meal plan.
When Geri was nineteen she met twenty five year old medical student named John Sullivan at a party. JJ, as he was called by his friends, fell off the porch and Geri had gone to see if he was okay. He asked her out a few days later and Geri said no. He was persistent and cute in a dorky cuddly kind of way and they have been together about seven years and married for two.
Geri and JJ moved to Pleasant Port just before they got married so JJ could finish his training at the local ER and Geri could take a job as one of the Special Education teachers at Pleasant Port School.
Geri and JJ got married on the little beach next to the old Lighthouse. Her bridesmaids were her sister Kathleen, her friends Hannah O'Reilly, Melody Tynan, Janet Adair, her cousin from Syracuse Megan Fagan, and one of her friends from Pleasant Port Adela Martinez.
Currently Geri teaches the 3rd (High School) section of the Special Ed program. She just earned her Masters this year and is looking into a Doctorate program. She also teaches a few classes at the local Community College.

Personality
Growing up in a large city gives a person a more assertive personality and that may not always translate well into a more rural setting. Geri, at first glance, can come across as very abrasive and overly loud at times. This comes from living in a rough area and growing up in large family. She had to be loud to be heard.
Despite coming across as loud and abrasive, once someone get’s to know her, she is actually very sweet and kind. She is very loyal to her friends and likes nothing better than to be surrounded by those she loves. She also likes alone time when she can just relax and read a good book or watch mindless TV.
Geri is considering going back for her Doctorate because there are times she feels like a glorified babysitter. She love’s her job and would do anything for those kids, but she is starting to want more. She really enjoys teaching at the Community College and can see herself teaching other people how to be Special Ed. teachers someday.
Geri, like everyone else, is not perfect and has a bad side. She can be very nasty and if she think’s you’ve said something stupid she has no problem getting on your case about it. She also has no issue telling someone she does not like…just that.
Geri is like most people on the planet. A good person with just a bit of bad mixed it.
"Colorgenics Personality"
At this time in your life you feel like 'giving up'. For every time you have tried to build up your hopes and dreams something has come along to burst the balloon. You may feel that, at this particular moment in your life, there seems to be no chance of fulfilling these dreams but you are so wrong. You are the sort of person that can influence any situation, that is - If you don't give up. So consciously make the effort... You have that inherent power to succeed.
You are a very warm and emotional individual but unfortunately in the past too many people have taken advantage of this sensitive trait. You need aesthetic surroundings, or an equally sensitive and understanding partner with whom to share a warm understanding.
You are feeling under considerable pressure and you are being forced to make concessions. You are not particularly happy with this state of affairs but you feel that you have no alternative. If you were to force issues you would be left out or completely ignored by one and all.
All the distress and agitation is the result of attempting to avoid any form of stimulation or excitement. The situation in which you find yourself at this time is one of hostility and therefore you are under considerable pressure. You are very irritable and prone to angry outbursts. You are in a mental quandary and you could be experiencing physical problems. You are very distressed by the apparent hostility of everyone around you and you feel coerced and subjected to intolerable pressures. You are resentful of what you regard as unreasonable demands on you but the situation is such that you feel powerless to control it and at this time you just don't know 'which way to turn'.
You are worn out and lack both physical and mental energy. This lack of vitality has created an intolerance for any further excitement and you feel that you just cannot carry on; but you have been like that many times before and the situation passed. You again need to get away from it all - even if it is only for a little while. A relaxed body cannot contain a destructive emotion and the secret for you is to just relax.
