Fletcher Montgomery

 

1980’s

March 1, 1983 Despite getting to the point where they thought that they would never have children, James Robert (Jim Bob) and Margaret Lynn (Peggy Lynn) Montgomery receive their "little miracle from God" when William Joseph (Billy Joe) is born.
May 1987 Having his son attend services since his birth, his father, who is a pastor, begins to teach Billy Joe Bible verses. Jim Bob has him memorize them and then demonstrates to his son - through services and private lessons - how to use them as scripture.
Aug 1987 Begins taking piano lessons. Once he learns some songs (which his dad makes sure doesn't take long), he begins to play for services.

 

 

1990’s

Apr 1992 His mom, who had always been extremely involved in his school life, doesn't have enough energy to go on a school trip. It's the first time Billy Joe has felt like his parents were old.
Aug 1997 At a church picnic, Billy Joe gets his first kiss from a girl from his church. The girl later became his first girlfriend.

 

 

2000’s

May 2000 As a junior, Billy Joe starts getting tired of his life and plans to go away for college to get away from his parents and community.
Mar 1, 2001 On his 18th birthday, he informs his parents that once he graduates from high school he is going to move away and change his name. His parents, upset about this news, begin to start bribing him an effort to make him stay and keep their baby in their lives.
Jun 2001 After graduating high school, he gets his name legally changed to Fletcher Tristan Montgomery and moves away to attend college.
Aug 2001 Begins attending college and meets Ren Alden.  He thinks that the guy is a little strange, but is instantly intrigued by him.
Oct 2001 Meets a girl and, thinking she really loves him and cares about him (and due to some alcohol), ends up losing his virginity to her. Finding out that she only did it to win a bet (Who can have sex with the hick first?), he decides to drop his "hick" accent and joins a fraternity.
Dec 2001 Goes back home for Christmas vacation for the first time. Unbeknownst to him, it will be the last time.
Apr 2002 While at a bar, he is hit on by a guy. After politing refusing, he goes to the bathroom. There he is confronted by the guy who tries to rape him. He fights the guy off and then goes back out to the bar to inform Ren that they're leaving now. The event leads him to become nervous around gay men. Something that leads some people to think he's homophobic.
May 2002 Goes back home for Summer holidays. When he comes back with his South Carolina accent, he decides he's not going back home again.
Aug 2002 When Travis Collins comes by the frat house looking for a building for his class, Fletcher pulls him into the frat, determined to make the geeky freshman 'cool'.  The younger guy becomes his pledge.
Dec 2002 Starts his annual tradition of going to Ren's grandmother's house for Christmas (along with Ren and Cindy).
March 2004 Starts taking bartending classes. Upon graduating from bartending school, he starts working as a bartender, eventually ending up at Ocean View.
March 1, 2005 First meets Madeline Baker at a frat house party for his birthday. Despite her being a few months from eighteen, the two fool around and have sex together for the first time. The two begin their relationship as sex/drinking buddies.
May 2005 Graduates from college.
Dec 2006 Having seen her around the bar, he gets to know Cassandra Davis better, leading to the two of them having sex. He develops a crush on her which lasts until mid-2007.
Feb 14, 2007 While working at Ocean View, he meets Sienna Alvares and quickly becomes smitten with her. The two share the first of several encounters up until she moves away.
Feb 16, 2007 Maddy tells him that she loves him. Though he doesn't love her back, the two discuss the possibility of dating.
Feb 18, 2007 Begins to date Maddy.
Apr 2007 Finds out from Maddy that she is pregnant with his child. Deciding to take responsibility for his actions, he asks her to move in with him and she accepts. He begins to regret that decision when he meets Rylee Romsland, a girl he instantly feels love for. It's the first time he's ever been in love. A week after they meet, they proclaim their love for one another. Feeling responsiblity towards Maddy and love for Rylee, his confusion causes him to be unable to have sex with either girl.
Jun 2007 Goes back home for around a month so that his parents can get him "back on the path of God" and he attends his first convention as a representative for his church, along with Pastor Roberts.
Oct 2007 Fletcher has been celibate for six months, and it's killing him.
Oct 28, 2007 Maddy gives birth to their daughter, Tabitha Audrey.
Nov 2007 Fletcher and Maddy break up.  Out of anger, Maddy begins to keep Fletcher from seeing their daughter.
Dec 24, 2007 Taking a chance, Fletcher goes to visit Maddy and Tabitha and is thrilled that he gets to see his daughter again, to hold her, and to have some fun with Maddy.
Dec 31, 2007 During a discussion with Rylee, the pair decide to move in together and are now officially dating.
Jan 2008 Maddy leaves, taking Tabitha with her, creating anger towards his ex-girlfriend.  He is determined to do whatever he has to in order to get his daughter back.
