Estela Russell is born in Plesant Port. Her father was 34 and worked as a banker in Pleasant Port Bank. His mother was 33 and worked at the bridal shop. She has three older brothers, Johnathan (9), Leonard (7) and Jacob (3)

Estela's maternal grandfather (Andrew) dies due to a lung cancer

Estela's brother (Jacob, 6) is taken to the hospital, when a motorbike involved in a traffic accident hit him at Victoria Road (Jacob was crossing the road the moment). For first time in her life, Estela feels really scared, and when the kid gets out of the hospital, Estela only wants to spend time with him, scared that she's going to lose him.

On Christmas, Estela gets her first bicycle. She also gets several dolls, as an attempt of her parents to make her forget about playing with her brothers' cars. It didn't work.

 For first time in her life, Estela gets on a plane. It's when she travels with her family to London, Europe, where they're going on a two weeks vacation.

 Estela's best friend in school, Adam, leaves Pleasant Port because his family moves to Austin, Texas. Estela doesn't have much friends at school because she doesn't want to play with girls and boys don't want a girl playing with them, but that quickly changes when she makes a new best friend, Anne, the neighbour's daughter, who is her same age.

 Estela's oldest brother, Johnathan (20), begins to date a girl from Portugal called Andrea (19), whose family spends summers in Pleasant Port, where they own a house at the beach.

 Estela's maternal grandmother, Rose, dies of a heart attack. Her mother doesn't take it very well, and she takes several months off work.

 Estela joins the children's baseball team at school

 Realizing that she really likes swimming, Estela's parents sign her up for the children's swimming team at the Sports Club, a sport that quickly turns into one of her favorite activities.

Estela ends in the second place in the Connecticut swimming competition for children, which took place in Hartford. The whole family traveled there that summer to see the event, minus Johnathan (24), who was in Portugal with his girlfriend.

Johnathan (25) and Andrea (24) get married in Porto, Portugal, after dating each other for 5 years

During a family vacation on Florida, Estela meets Christopher, a 17 year old who is going to become her first love, and her first kiss. Even if they exchanged a few letters when summer was over, she never heard from him again

 Estela's paternal grandmother, Maryanne, dies of cancer.

Leonard (24) unnexpectly gets married with a girl he met in College. She's from Washington, so he decided to move there. At this point Estela only has one brother left in Pleasant Port, Jacob, who is also her closest brother due the the fact that they're closest in age, and they mostly grew up together.

Estela (18) loses his virginity to John Zimmerman, a friend of her brother Jacob. Before long, however, Jacob finds out about the affair and reveals John's true nature to Estela, causing the whole thing to end.

Jacob (21) decided to move to move to Washington where his brother lives to finish his law studies, leaving Estela pretty upset about it.

Estela ends in third place at a statal swimming competition that took place in Florida.

Estela gets her appendix removed

Trying to start a new life, and figure who is she in the world, Estela moves to New York. She finds a free room to share an apartment with other three people (two girls and a guy) in Greenwich Village, and she makes that her new home.

Estela starts working in a Starbucks cafe in New York

At the same month that Leonard (31) gets divorded from his wife, the youngest brother of Estela (Jacob, 26) gets married with a girl he met in New York. She's called Melissa.
