Appearance
Connie has dark brown hair which she keeps just below her shoulders. When working, she will wear it in a bun or a French twist to keep it out of her eyes. Her eyes are a rich shade of chocolate, much like the rest of her siblings. She is the shortest of the Lindaugh family, coming in at 5'3". Her brother Corey is a full foot taller than she is. During the summer, she is one of those girls who can tan and never burn. Her teeth are straight, due to many years of being called "brace-face" or "metal-mouth," but that never gave her a complex.
Although most of the time at work, Connie can be found in a blouse and slacks or a pair of scrubs, she is most comfortable in skirts or dresses. There had been a point in college where she tried to go to the gym every day, but in all actuality, she is self admittedly lazy and has since given up working out. Instead, she credits her shape to working at the hospital so much, and making sure that she and her brother eat healthy, instead of sticking with a strict routine of take-out Chinese and pizza.
Personality
Coming from such a large family with two older brothers, Connie had every opportunity to become a tomboy. Although when she was younger, she did enjoy climbing trees and playing in the mud, it was only when she turned ten that she started embracing the aspect of being a girl. With such humble beginnings, and not having much in life, Connie has tried to live it to the fullest. She tries her best to be sensitive and caring, although at times she is easily stressed out and has fallen to panic attacks.
One of Connie's passions, besides working in the medical field, is cooking. She prides herself on making anything she can get her hands on, although she has discovered the joys of cooking Jewish cuisine. Growing up, religion was not a major role in life, but Connie has tried her hardest to fully understand her heritage.
In college she was a bit of a wild child, and liked to party. But when her grades began to suffer, and her scholarship was threatened, she put aside her partying days, and concentrated on schoolwork. When she was 22, she fell victim to a drunk driver, and has since stopped drinking in entirety. Although she was not hurt, her world was shaken and now she views life with a completely different perspective.
Personal History
Connie is the third child born to Donovan and Mya Lindaugh in upstate New York, in the city of Rochester. Donovan worked as a mechanic and Mya worked waitressing jobs for years. Her oldest brother Doug, eventually dropped out of high school to follow in their father’s footsteps. Her other brother, Corey, became the first from the family to graduate from high school and go off to college.
While she was in high school, Connie was neither popular nor unpopular, she melted into the folds of the student body. By the time her freshman year was over, her brother Corey had gone to medical school, and it inspired her to do the same. Biology was her favorite subject in school, and although she would never admit it out loud, she really did enjoy dissecting animals which is what led her to the decision to become a surgeon.
Connie graduated high school as Valedictorian of her class. With such a high GPA and many extracurricular activities, she was offered several scholarships. Although she would have preferred to go to the University of California, she knew that the school was much too far away from her family. Instead, she settled on the Univeristy of Rochester, which was close to home.
Shortly after her second year in college, Connie began to lose sight of her goals. Instead, she began to stay out late, not go to class, and party a lot. After her scholarship was threatened to be taken away and she realized that she and her parents couldn't afford to pay for her education, she cleaned up her act quickly.
During her junior year of college, she was traveling back to school from Christmas vacation, a car swerved into her lane when she was right outside of Harrisburg, PA. She didn't have fatal injuries, but she did have a broken ankle and a concussion. Her car was totaled. Since this time, Connie has suffered from severe migraines and panic attacks.
In June 2007, Connie was informed that she would be doing her internship at Pleasant Port Hospital where her brother Corey works as an ER Resident. Having always been close to him, she moved in with him. She has recently just begun her surgical residency.
