Appearance
Colin is 5'9" and has brown hair with brown eyes. He is thin, but well-toned. While he doesn't dress completely odd, he does like his clothes to be tattered and ripped. Therefore, when he gets new clothes usually the first thing he does is makes them look worn and dingy. As of now he doesn't have any tattoos or piercings, but he wants to at some point. He has various scars from childhood as well as from abuse from his dad and self-abuse. Colin refuses to dress up.

Personality
Colin's personality depends on several factors. These can range from normal things such as who he is talking to and what kind of day he's having, to less common reasons such as what color his shirt is and what he ate for dinner. He has no problem with being blunt with people if he thinks it's called for. While at times he can be sweet, it's also possible for him to suddenly turn on someone who he is having a great conversation with.
When he was dating Maddy, he was very accepting and patient with her. However, he would then freak out over little things while letting big things slide. For one, he didn't fight her over the fact that she had sex with other guys even though it killed him inside.
While cutting himself was first an experiment, it has now become more of a regular occurence. Also, it's beginning to dwindle, but he is still somewhat obsessed with Maddy. After she broke up with him, he remained convinced that they could get back together and make it work. Now, he is beginning to realize that it's never going to happen.
Colin lived a pretty normal life, a happy life. That is until his father began drinking and ripping his family apart. The constant fighting and bickering usually led him to lock himself in his room. In there, he would usually listen to music, blasting it to block out their yelling. One day inside his room, he felt like he was dead already. Having heard about cutting, he decided to try it himself, see if he could feel the pain. He could and he liked it. However, after having it dragged out of him by Jessy, he promised never to do it again. A promise he didn't keep.
His parents are divorced, a fact which he hates. He acts out and tries to act as though he could really care less. However, deep down he really wants them to be that happy family again.

He lives with his father. His parents are divorced, a fact that he tries to use to get out of trouble. He doesn't particularly get along with his parents and can't wait to move out. He's determined to move out as soon as possible.
He used to respect and care about his father. However, once his parents divorced, he began to test his parents - specifically his father as they live together.
Thinks she left to get away from his dad, but also from him. He doesn't keep in touch with her, and she doesn't seem to want anything to do with him either.
Relationships with other Characters
Madeline Baker - Once the love of his life, Colin doesn't really see Maddy much anymore. It still hurts that she apparently lost interest in him and trying to figure out how he screwed up their relationship keeps him awake some nights. Not very often, but it does happen still.
Michel Decker - He knows him from when he had him as a history teacher. Colin thought the guy was pretty lame and talked way too much. His class always seemed so boring. He tried to take a seat in the back of the class so he could sleep through it. However, times when that got him chalk thrown at him, he'd get pissed off. On several occasions, he got kicked out.
Malachai Dresden - He met him at a hardware store one night at the end of October. While he doesn't trust the guy, he does like the fact that Mal is up for stealing liquor from parties and smoking even more than just cigarettes.
Gil Johnson - Colin met him one night, unaware that the guy had noticed him already on previous occasions. He helped Gil by putting a package in Tim's boat. The package ended up being a bomb. He knows him as "Marcus".
Ryan King - His next door neighbor who he has developed a certain bond with. Though he doesn't want to admit it, the man has become a sort of stand-in father to him.
Charlotte Miller - Met her when he was trying to play a joke on a carwash guy. She offered him a shower and gave him dinner to go along with it. He was inititally confused and freaked out by her, but that just made him like her more.
Fletcher Montgomery - Maddy's new boyfriend who Colin hates with a passion. Due to his anger, he has begun to harrass Fletcher, making threats and destroying his things. He has broken the windows of Fletcher's truck, flattened his tires, among other things.
Natasha Simons - He knows her from the library. They've had little conversations about books they were checking out, but he doesn't really know her that well.
Alexander Stone - One of Colin's teachers. While he doesn't really have a problem with the guy, he can't bring himself to actually like a teacher.
Relationships with NPCs
Jessy Langston - His ex-girlfriend. He feels bad for the way he's treated her, but he can't help his feelings for Maddy. He really appreciates how good she is to him, especially after he's always treated her like crap. She is the only one who knows that he has started cutting. He wouldn't have even told her but she found out.
Christopher Miller - Charlotte Miller's husband. He thinks the guy is kind of goofy and geeky, but for Colin the fact that they are so different is cool.
Donovan Tate - Colin's pediatrician. He's extremely embarrassed that he still had to see a pediatrician at the age of seventeen. Now that he is eighteen, he is never going to him again.
