Appearance

Brian is around 5'10" with short, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He is thin with fairly defined arms, though he doesn't necessarily do anything in particular to keep it up. Sometimes, he goes out looking his best, but sometimes he'll just throw on some clothes and not bother shaving. He has an appendix scar and no tattoos. For the time being, he sees no reason to get a tattoo as he doesn't have anything that he'd like to brand into himself. But if something changes then he might get one.

Personality

While more outgoing than his stepbrother Chris, Brian isn't exactly a party animal. He enjoys meeting people and sometimes in his hometown it was as though he had a magnetic personality. However, though he likes to be liked and he loves making friends, he isn't really one who will go out of his way to please people just to get them to be friends with him. He'd rather have friends than enemies, and he'd rather not have any enemies at all.

Unfortunately, he tends to put his foot in his mouth at times, sometimes being too brutally honest. So, while he befriends people, usually girls, they have to be understanding with his brand of humor. He likes to yank people's chains sometimes, make sarcastic comments, but it's all in fun. And most times, it escapes his mouth before he can censor it.

Personal History

His Timeline

Brian grew up with Chris from the age of two until they graduated from high school. While Chris decided to go away for college, Brian went to a trade school nearby to train to be an electrician.

When he graduated, he began to seek employment as an electrician, meanwhile doing work for people around the neighborhood, trying to build a good reputation. For about ten years, he worked his way up from a guy who fixed things for people when they needed it, to an electrician, to an electrician with some management over others. He was enjoying himself: he had a great job, a great family, and a great girlfriend.

His luck changed when Brian found out that his boss was fudging some of the numbers in their finances. At first, Brian bit his tongue and kept quiet. But it wasn't long before he couldn't hold it in any longer. He tried to get his boss to stop, but he refused and told Brian he'd never had the guts to go through with it. Therefore, Brian turned his boss in, because he thought it was the right thing to do. Unfortunately, that choice caused him to get fired.

He missed his old job, but he figured it was fine. If they didn't need him, he didn't need them. He'd just get another job. But Brian's luck had changed and now he found himself blacklisted. It seems that his boss fixed things up before the investigation started which left Brian looking like a complete liar. No one wanted a nark working for them, which frustrated Brian to no end. He had imagined living in his hometown all of his life, but now things had turned bleak and he felt like he had no friends. Being such a people person, this hit him hard. He wasn't used to being surrounded by people who hated him and he fell into a depression.

So, when Chris invited him to move to Pleasant Port and seek employment there, Brian took him up on his offer. Brian's spirits have lifted since he's been there and he now works at a cafe and is finally beginning to build a business for himself. He loves working as an electrician. However, more than employment, Brian was looking for social interactions, friendship. That's what he truly thrives on.

Family Background

Brian's life started when his mom decided to go to a party to grab a few drinks and unwind. Unfortunately, she met some random guy while she was drunk and ended up having sex with him. That random night of sex resulted in Brian. Unable to find the father, Kathi raised him alone for two years. That is until she met Josh Miller in the pediatrician's office while he was there with his son Chris.

Josh and Kathi clicked instantly and they both shared the bond of having two-year-old sons that they were raising on their own. They started to date soon after and eventually got married. They decided to adopt the other's son so that the two boys would be brothers. Throughout raising them, they have never treated their non-biological son as 'your son'. Instead they have always regarded Brian and Chris as being *their* sons.

Relationships with other Characters

Scott Archer - Got to know him better after they spent Christmas with Chris and Charlotte. After getting to know him better, Brian thinks the guy is hilarious. He likes the fact that Scott just seems to say whatever pops into his head. However, while he likes the guy, he's bothered by the fact that Scott is determined to call himself the twin's uncle.

Madeline Baker - She works with him at the cafe. He thinks she's off the wall, but she cracks him up, so he doesn't mind. He think she's a lot of fun to work with and is always curious about what sort of crazy stunt she'll come up with next to keep work entertaining. He's very excited for her that's she's having a baby, but at the same time is a little nervous, because he doesn't think she's very stable.

Travis Collins - Only knows him from when he met him at Cassie's birthday party. He thought the guy was kind of shy and awkward, but he was pretty fun once he started to relax.

Cassandra Davis - Since getting to know her better, he thinks Cassie's a lot of fun to be around. He appreciates how much she watches out for his girlfriend and is glad that Dana has a friend like Cassie.

Linda Davis - Brian knows her as Cassie's mother through dating Dana. He sees her quite frequently as he lives on the Boardwalk just like she does. He also sometimes sees her when he goes to the bars. He enjoys his conversations with her and hopes that he still has that much life in him when he's her age...which he realizes he's not too far off from.

Leon Doherty - Brian met him when they both helped Norah Parker during an asthma attack, and then later when Leon helped him during a really bad migraine. Since then the two have become friends and Leon now works with him as an associate.

Cadissy Dresden - Met her when she came to his new business office when she was working on a house in Belleville. Happy with his work, he is now contracted with her for houses that she works on.

Oliver Gordon - Brian met him when the guy almost ran him over. While Brian thought he was a bit stiff at first, he soon learned Oliver had a good sense of humor. Brian appreciates the fact that Oliver is the one who helped him start out his business by renting a place to him.

Lauren Jacobsen - Knows her as a customer at the Cafe Atlantique. He thinks she's sweet and he enjoys their conversations.

Tim Jenkins - Dana's uncle. He was nervous about first meeting him, but he was glad when he found out that he was a pretty cool guy. After all, the fact that Brian was twelve years older than Dana was something that he was pretty sure would upset Tim.

Micah Lewis - Brian got to know him better through his girlfriend. He likes how uptight the guy can get sometimes and thinks it's hysterical. However, he's a nice guy, and he appreciates what a great friend he is to Dana. Now that he and Dana have twins, it freaks him out a little how baby crazy Micah can be...but he does appreciate the help.

Fletcher Montgomery - Met him at Cassie's birthday party. He thinks the guy was kind of funny, but thinks he's a jerk for being so flirty with Cassie when she has a boyfriend.

Alexander Stone - Brian met him one day while they were both picking up things from the grocery store. He liked the guy and appreciates the 'advice' that he had to give him about pregnant women and babies.

Jason Styles - Brian considers him a pretty cool guy, even though Jason is his boss. He gets along well with Jason and feels very comfortable around him.

Jonathan Zimmerman - Initially, they met when they bumped into eachother while Johnny was working at the department store. It seemed like a casual chat. Then when they bumped into eacheachother while Brian was working Brian playfully suggested that Johnny might be stalking him. When Johnny was quick to respond, Brian knew that this was a guy he could hang out with. They became buds shortly after.

Relationships with NPCs/Inactive Characters

Farrah Covington - He thinks she's hilarious, though he can't help but wonder if she's okay. While he's all up for partying, he's not sure that Farrah doesn't party a little too hardy.

Seth Cuthbert - When Brian first met Seth, he thought he was a complete jerk who took things way too seriously. The fact that Seth punched him didn't help matters. Brian was about to write the guy off when he met up with him later. They discussed things and Brian got more of an understanding for Seth. While they might not really be *friends*, there is certainly the potential for it now that the two of them have gotten a better feel for the other's brand of humor.

Mahogany Hunter - Brian met her since she's a nearby neighbor and a friend of Chris's. He enjoys going out places with her and doing a bit of flirting as well. A few months ago while hanging out, the two of them shared a more intimate moment than they had ever shared before. He's really thankful that they were able to remain such great friends.

Andrea Jenkins - Brian knows her as a customer at the cafe. Recently he found out that she's Dana's mom and so he hopes that she won't interfere with him and Dana.

Norah Parker - One of Dana's friends.

Donovan Tate - Brian inspected his house for him and did the necessary repairs to the wiring. Now he is going to be his and Dana's pediatrician.
