Personality

Quick witted, she has a come back for everything. Extremely flirty she however only teases people due to her playing her heart close to her chest. Some people call her flaky, but those that know her don't really agree. Mara just knows what she wants and rarely allows anyone to get in her way. Smart mouth, she speaks her mind and will do anything for a friend.

Loyal to a fault, she makes friends easily but only a few are called serious friends and know her. Mara isn't a partier yet enjoys the music and the scene. She is a fighter and will go down swinging no matter what the cause.

However Mara also protects her heart. She's been hurt before and has sworn to herself to never allow it to happen again. Extremely down to earth, Mara knows that some people recognize her from X-Games and she's more then happy to sit down and talk with them as long as it doesn't bother her at work or at while she's working on homework. She's extremely self confident and doesn't bow to anyone.

Personal History

Ever since she was a baby, she's been a fighter. Born with three older brothers, Mara's mother died in a car crash when she was six. She doesn't really remember much about her mother save for through the stories that her brothers and father told her.

Growing up with her brothers and their friends, Mara learned how to play football. However, when her older brother Leo began snowboarding Mara automatically fell in love. Desiring to know, she forced her brother's friends to teach her. Around this time her father attempted to goose her into becoming more like a girl instead her tomboy ways. In order to do so, he brought in her cousin, Layla.

Never hitting it off with her cousin, Mara and her brother Leo were accepted to go to X-Games. Taking things in the games rather good, Mara's X-games came to a screeching halt when she landed wrong and whacked her head on one of the metal poles holding up one of the course tricks.

Knocked out, Mara was taken off the course with a concussion. Refusing to back down however, she returned but due to the concussion, ended up bruising her back on another run on the slopestyle. It was due to her injury that Mara had to drop out of the X-Games and watched as her brother took Silver in the Hospital.

Returning to Pleasant Port, Mara was gotten tutors by her father due to her being bed ridden from her injury. It was during that time that Layla got her cousin to at least find some girlie arts, like painting her nails and dying her hair. But in no time when Mara was able to return to her old life and went back to being the tomboy.

Accepted to the basketball team, Mara joined them in the championships before she returned to the X-Games and got the Gold for Slopestyle, the same competition that nearly killed her the year before. Having proved that she could do a comeback, Mara's father gave up on trying to get her to become a pretty in pink girl and sent her cousin back to Portland.

Things changed however her junior year of high school. With her father suffering a heart attack, Mara and her brothers were adopted by their father's business partner so they could stay in Pleasant Port. She however met Derek, the man who she'd later follow to LA, and began dating him.

After graduation, she opted out of going to college right away and traveled to place some more X-Games and got a job during the off seasons at the Pleasant Port Hotel. Getting engaged to Derek, she agreed to go with him to LA when he transferred out there to finish his schooling.

It was in LA when life started to fall apart. Disliking the area and Derek partying with several other girls, Mara broke their engagement and returned to Pleasant Port. Deciding against moving back in with Alex, Mara got her own place and pleaded to get a job back at the hotel. Getting her job back, she has semi retired from the X-Games (Having won medals in three of the five that she's been too) but won't stop snowboarding. She has also transferred her credits from the University of Los Angeles to the local community college.

Ian Mace	They got off on a bad foot their first meeting but Mara was willing to give him a second chance back in January of 2008 and found him interesting then. He's able to be a real person she knows he can be and after that lunch she may even be developing a small crush on him! She's given him the ring tone of 'I'm too sexy' by Right Said Fred as a joke.
