Personality

Allison is an easy going woman who gets along with anybody as long as they're not stuck up and conservative. If she likes you and considers you a friend, you'll have a good friend because for her friends Al would do anything. She seems like a tough woman but if you get to know her a little better, you know she also has a softer side about her, which comes through in her line of work as an ER pediatrician.

Generally she's a pretty fun person who just lives her life to the fullest and is carefree doing whatever she feels like doing. Something that does get to her is seeing sick children at work and especially abused ones. It has happened more than once that she had to be held back because she wanted to go at the parents to learn them a lesson. This is also what gets her into trouble at work sometimes, Allison has been reprimanded for being too aggressive towards parents that don't treat their children well or for dodging the rules with kids that for example are not insured.

Outside of her work, she is a totally different person. When not working, she only wants to have fun which results in going out a lot and drinking. In her teens, Al smoked pot from time to time but she hasn't done that for over 10 years. The things she did not give up on are drinking, smoking and sex. She goes out a lot to unwind and does not mind if she ends up totally wasted. She has never been in a serious relationship which at her age is something people ask her about but she's simply not interested in staying with one person her whole life. For now, Allison only wants to have fun with whomever she wants to.

Personal History

Al was born in Pleasant Port and grew up here never particularly liking the small town attitude and the people. Already as a kid she wanted to get away but didn't do so until she moved away to New York to go to college. When she moved there it was with the thought of never ever moving back to Pleasant Port because New York would be the place to be for her. Once she finished college, for some reason it drew her back to Pleasant Port when she got offered a job at the local hospital as an ER resident.

Allison grew up without a father as he left her and her mother when she was 5. Ever since that moment it was them against the world and Allison has never really looked for contact to her dad as she has not been able to forgive him for leaving them. Of course she and her mother had had their problems when she was younger but in the end they always stuck together.

People always considered her as the girl who would probably end up as a failure because Allison never had good grades in school and actually never really cared about school. Ditching school was her favorite subject. Until she witnessed a car accident and saw a little girl dying. That was when she turned around and decided she wanted to become a doctor and in her last 6 months in high school she tried to get her grades up a little so she could get into a pre med program. Non of her teachers nor anybody else believed she could do it but in the end she managed and got accepted into the program.

At 18 Allison moved out of Pleasant Port to New York to start the premed program. After 7 years she moved back to Pleasant Port to start her residency at the local hospital where she worked until she was 29 and moved out of Pleasant Port again because she felt stifled by the small town and she needed her freedom, getting herself into something with Tim Jenkins was something that played part in her decision to just pick up and move away because all of the sudden she had all these strange feelings and she didn't want to submit to any of them because they scared her.

During her time away, Allison has mostly been doing humanitarian work in South America feeling like she needed a change of pace somehow. When she left Pleasant Port, it was so quickly that she just threw some stuff together, got on her bike and rode off. She didn't even think she'd be gone for very long, her initial plan was to just take a little break from everything and come back after that. However, one thing let to another and she met some people from an organization that was based in Seattle who offered her to go to South America to work as a pediatrician there. She didn't think twice and accepted the offer, firguring she'd be back when she'd be back or maybe never come back.

After a while she started to regret her decision to just pick up and move but she has never dared to contact Tim to apologize because she knew she had most likely hurt him a lot. Allison did some soul searching while being away from the town and she has come to realize that she has messed up back then and maybe she has even quieted down a bit and has become less restless.

Mother: Susan Anderson - Manager at the City Merchant - Allison and her mom have always gotten along pretty well as it had always been them ever since Eric left them. Of course due to Allison's character, they have had their fair share of problems when she was a teenager but generally they've always had a pretty good relationship.

Father: Eric Hodge- Owner of Pemex Gas Station - He left Allison and Susan when she was 5 years old. She has never forgiven him for this and they hardly ever speak to each other because Allison doesn't want any contact to him.
